Our client is seeking a Director of Emergency Services to lead and
oversee the Emergency Department. This role is responsible for ensuring
the department operates efficiently, adheres to policies and procedures,
maintains adequate staffing and supplies, and prioritizes patient care
and safety. The Director will also manage the department’s budget,
engage in quality improvement initiatives, and support the professional
development of staff.
Responsibilities
*
Organize, direct, and supervise clinical and procedural units within the
Emergency Department.
*
Ensure policies and procedures are followed, staffing levels are safe,
and supplies and equipment are sufficient.
*
Manage patient throughput to ensure efficient care delivery.
*
Develop, implement, and oversee the department budget.
*
Lead ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives.
*
Foster staff professional development, ensuring completion of required
annual competencies.
*
Communicate key information to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and
Administrative Team as needed.
*
Focus on staff development, evidence-based clinical practice, resource
management, patient quality and safety, and regulatory compliance.
Must Haves:
*
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
*
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact
state.
*
Certification in American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
*
At least three years of supervisory experience (Manager level or above)
in an Emergency Department within the last five years.
Nice to Haves:
*
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related
field (e.g., MSN, MHA).
*
Experience working in a community hospital Emergency Department.
Location Sanford, North Carolina
Salary: $110,000 – $125,000
*
Signing Bonus: $10,000 commitment incentive paid quarterly in the first
year of employment.
